You'll Never Find Me

A stranger knocks during a storm at a caravan-park trailer, and neither of the two people is quite what they seem.

On a night of torrential rain, a young woman knocks on the door of a lonely man's trailer in a remote Australian caravan park, saying she needs to wait out the storm. Over the night, the power dynamic between them keeps shifting.

Josiah Allen and Indianna Bell made a tight two-hander for almost nothing, essentially a chamber play in one caravan, and the tension is entirely in the conversation: which of them is the threat, and what actually happened before she arrived.

Brendan Rock, as the man, carries most of it, and the film keeps you off balance about whether to fear for the woman or of the man.

The reveal reframes the whole night, and the film earns it.

It is a small, confident, quietly unsettling debut that does a great deal with two people and one room.
