Practical effects funded partly on Kickstarter, doing an unembarrassed Carpenter impression, and the creatures are worth the ticket.

A deputy brings an injured man to a nearly empty hospital. People in white robes with a single black triangle surround the building. Something is in the basement.

Steven Kostanski and Jeremy Gillespie built every creature in latex and foam because they could not afford anything else, and the film is essentially a delivery system for those designs. They are excellent: wet, asymmetrical, and lit badly on purpose.

The debt to Prince of Darkness, The Beyond and Hellraiser is total and unhidden.

The plot does not survive contact and the acting is uneven. Nobody watching this is here for either.

The last act goes full cosmic and the budget cannot quite reach, which is almost part of the charm.
