What it has is craft. The tunnel sequence, the apple, the church, and Jessie Buckley's face doing the work the script will not.

The last fifteen minutes are a sustained practical body-horror sequence of recursive birth that is truly unlike anything else, and it goes on far longer than you expect.

Whether that redeems the ninety minutes before it is the entire argument about the film.
