Late Night Trains

Last House on a train, scored by Ennio Morricone, which is a sentence that should not be true.

The Last House on the Left on a train from Munich to Verona, scored by Ennio Morricone, which is a sentence that should not be true.

Two schoolgirls travelling home for Christmas share a carriage with two drifters and a well-dressed woman who turns out to be the worst person on board. The parents are waiting at the station.

Aldo Lado is doing something more pointed than Craven was. The bourgeois woman who directs the violence, and the doctor father who cannot process what has happened without becoming the same thing, are the film's actual subject, and the political reading is not subtle.

It is very hard to watch and better made than its reputation.

Morricone's harmonica theme was released as a single. Listed by the DPP and dropped.
