I Spit on Your Grave
Ebert called it the worst film ever made. Clover argued the camera is with her throughout. Both cases are live.
A writer rents a cottage upstate, is assaulted by four local men across a thirty-minute sequence filmed without any distancing technique at all, and then kills them one at a time.
Roger Ebert called it a vile bag of garbage and the worst film he had ever seen. Carol Clover, writing in Men, Women and Chain Saws in 1992, pointed out that the camera in the second half is aligned with Jennifer without exception, that she gets no rescuer and no romantic subplot, and that the grindhouse audiences Ebert was describing were reacting rather differently from how he assumed.
Neither reading has won and serious people hold both. What is not disputed is that the first half is thirty minutes long and extremely difficult to sit through, and that the film has no score, which makes it worse.

The title alone did a great deal of the work. The film was released in the United States as Day of the Woman and did almost nothing; it was the retitling that made it notorious on both sides of the Atlantic.

Blood Rites
Andy Milligan shooting in Staten Island with a hand-held Auricon. An acquired taste nobody acquires.
Fight for Your Life
A home invasion built entirely on racial abuse. Genuinely hard to watch and not for craft reasons.
Mardi Gras Massacre
An Aztec-obsessed killer in New Orleans. A Blood Feast remake in all but name, and slower.
Exposé
The only British film on the DPP list. A novelist, a typist and Fiona Richmond in a farmhouse.
The Witch Who Came from the Sea
Millie Perkins is extraordinary in it. A sad film about incest and memory, banned as a gore film.
Don't Go Near the Park
Cursed cave dwellers from 12,000 BC eating people in modern Los Angeles. Incoherent throughout.
