Clint Howard, a military academy, a computer and a lot of pigs. Better than it has any right to be.

Clint Howard, a military academy, an Apple II and a great many pigs.

Coopersmith is bullied by everybody at a Californian military school. In the chapel basement he finds the papers of a sixteenth-century Spanish satanist and starts translating them on the computer, which eventually summons what he has asked for.

The revenge finale is the reason it was listed: a chapel, a levitating boy with a sword, and a large number of animals. It is far more elaborate than the budget suggests.

Howard is the film. He plays the humiliation with no self-pity, which makes the last reel land as release rather than as spectacle.

Successfully prosecuted. Passed with cuts in 2004 and uncut later. The pig footage is real abattoir material.
