A motorcycle killer in a black helmet decapitating women in Boston with a kukri, and it is a giallo in everything but nationality.
The point of view shots, the gloved hands, the weapon fetish and the killer's anonymity are lifted directly from Italian practice, which was not common in American production in 1981.
Ken Hughes had directed Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Trials of Oscar Wilde, which is a filmography that does not lead you here.
It is Rachel Ward's first film and she is very good in it.
The kitchen sequence in the restaurant is the best-staged thing in it. Listed and dropped without prosecution. Also known as Night School.
