An Australian wellness influencer at a hen weekend. Much sharper and much nastier than the premise suggests.

An Australian wellness influencer at a hen weekend, and it is much sharper and much nastier than the premise suggests.

Cecilia has 200,000 followers and a channel about self-care. She runs into her childhood best friend, is invited to the hen weekend, and discovers the bully who tormented her is also going.

Aisha Dee is very good and the film's real idea is that Cecilia is actually a victim and also dangerous, and it refuses to resolve which reading you should hold.

The satire of the language, the boundaries and the affirmations is precise, and the film uses it as an escape hatch every time she does something appalling.

It is bright, pink, and very bloody, and the tonal control is better than most films that attempt this.

The bathroom sequence and the wine bottle are the two people bring up.
