A women-in-prison film with a brainwashing subplot, and Linda Haynes deserved much better material than she ever got.

A country singer breaks down in a small town, walks into a house full of corpses and is convicted of the murders. The prison psychiatrist is using inmates to test a technique that regresses them to infancy.

The idea is interesting and the film is two things stapled together: a fairly standard prison picture and a much stranger science-fiction premise that only becomes the plot in the last third.

Haynes gives a real performance and quit acting a few years later.
