Forest of Fear
Marijuana growers, a herbicide and some very slow zombies. On the list by accident of title.
Marijuana growers, a government herbicide, and some extremely slow zombies in upstate New York.
The premise is eco-horror and the film is too poor to execute it: the infected shamble, the helicopter footage is reused, and the effects are limited to grey face paint.
It reached Britain as Bloodeaters, which is the title it was listed under, and the most plausible account of why it was prosecuted is that the sleeve promised something the film does not contain.
Charles McCrann wrote, produced, directed and starred, and worked in insurance. He died in the World Trade Center in 2001.
Successfully prosecuted, and among the least deserving titles on the list on any measure.

Adjacent
Long Weekend
A couple with a failing marriage treat a beach with contempt. Nothing supernatural happens.
Messiah of Evil
A California coastal town waiting for a blood moon, made by the writers of American Graffiti, and it looks like nothing else.
Cannibal Apocalypse
Vietnam veterans come home with a bite that spreads. A better idea than the film delivers.
Zombie Creeping Flesh
Bruno Mattei splicing stock documentary footage into a zombie film and hoping nobody notices.
Pontypool
The infection is carried by the English language, and the whole film happens in a radio booth.
The Sadness
Taiwanese, and among the most extreme things released this decade. Go in warned.
