Women Behind Bars
Franco women-in-prison, made fast and cheap. On the list for the category rather than the content.
Franco women-in-prison, made fast, and on the list for the category rather than for anything in it.
A woman is imprisoned on a tropical island for a killing, and the warden and a corrupt official want the money she is hiding. There is a governor's wife, there are guards, there is very little plot.
The cycle it belongs to was enormous in the 1970s and almost none of it is defensible on craft grounds. Franco made several a year alongside everything else.
There is no gore to speak of. It was listed because the DPP was working through video catalogues and this was in one.
Listed and dropped without prosecution, which is the correct outcome and does not make it worth ninety minutes.

Blood Rites
Andy Milligan shooting in Staten Island with a hand-held Auricon. An acquired taste nobody acquires.
Fight for Your Life
A home invasion built entirely on racial abuse. Genuinely hard to watch and not for craft reasons.
Mardi Gras Massacre
An Aztec-obsessed killer in New Orleans. A Blood Feast remake in all but name, and slower.
Exposé
The only British film on the DPP list. A novelist, a typist and Fiona Richmond in a farmhouse.
Don't Go Near the Park
Cursed cave dwellers from 12,000 BC eating people in modern Los Angeles. Incoherent throughout.
Frozen Scream
Every line is dubbed, including scenes with nobody talking. Almost hypnotically incompetent.
