Among the most extreme things released this decade and there is no reason to watch it unless you already know you want to.

A virus in Taiwan removes inhibition rather than reason: the infected remain fully conscious, articulate and capable of planning, and simply act on every violent and sexual impulse they have.

Rob Jabbaz shot it in Taipei for very little and the effects are practical, abundant and unrelenting. The subway sequence is the one people cite and it is about fifteen minutes long.

The premise is nastier than the standard rage-virus film, because the infected can talk to you and enjoy it.

It was made during the pandemic and is explicitly about people deciding a virus is not serious. That does not make it less of an endurance test.
