Prisoner of the Cannibal God

The one with the film stars in it. Ursula Andress had been a Bond girl, Stacy Keach was a serious American lead, and both of them are in New Guinea in a cannibal film.

Sergio Martino was a better director than most of this cycle and it shows: the location photography is beautiful and the first hour works as an adventure picture.

Then it does what these films do. The animal killings are real, they are extended, and they are the reason it stays notorious and the reason it remains cut in Britain.

Andress has spoken about the shoot with visible discomfort in later interviews. She was told, as most of these casts were, that the animal footage would be second unit.
